Compelling content is invariably king, especially if you are applying online and are not in what is traditionally considered to be a creative field, e.g. photography or graphic design. A portfolio accessible through your online networking profile (LinkedIn) or uploaded to your personal website would be a better venue for displaying your creative talents.
When you apply to online job announcements, most larger employers use applicant tracking systems that are essentially databases where text resides. Images—digital or otherwise—are going to be useless as recruiters are looking for text parameters.
Put your effort into crisp, clear writing that aligns with a job announcement to elevate your chances of being invited for an interview.
