Focus is important, no, critical in resume development. A resume is not an autobiography or affidavit, particularly for career changers at middle age or beyond. Include what is essential for the position you are targeting. By all means address potential concerns an employer may have, but remember the level of work you are applying for, especially if the position is likely to be considered entry level. Will that extra 15-20 years’ experience be perceived favorably by an employer? If not, then don’t include it. Employers expect to see roughly the last 10 years of your experience. More than that may eliminate you because you have revealed your age. Best to do that in person in an interview when you can also promote your capabilities, enthusiasm and vitality, no?
